Functional Future is the story of two childhood friends who, in 2017, from widely different upbringings and core values, had one thing in common – to end the lack of transparency and mediocrity of the food industry
This interest has driven us to create products that interact with our natural biological/chemical processes and enable us to withstand a world of increasing demands and challenges. Most important of all; this attempt to create something unique must leave the smallest possible footprint on our earth and ecosystem.
Since we were very small, we have always laughed a little at all the strange products and flavors that Frederik's parents of German descent had in the fridge and jars in the cupboard. There was everything from kombucha to kimchi and bags with biodynamic labels. This "health" background was essential for the idea of Functional Future to be created.
With a solid chemical and anatomical background as a candidate in pharmaceutical science and almost ten years of experience in both pharmaceutical production and quality assurance, Thomas has the right prerequisites to create products that challenge the current manufacturing methods and workflows within the food industry. In connection with a radical and successful dietary change to eliminate Thomas's arthritis pain, the need arose for a strong and sugar-free ginger/turmeric shot.
Here suddenly was the opportunity to challenge the established and help people in the same situation as Thomas and simultaneously appeal to the increasing number of conscious consumers. The positive energy and feedback from all those who use the products have become the driving force behind Functional Future, and we would not have come this far without it!
