Beef Bone Broth - what is it?
Functional Future Nordic Bone Broth with Hyaluronic Acid is 100% Bone Broth liquid. Marrow and soup bones are from free-range, grass-fed, and humanely slaughtered cattle from sustainable Danish farms. We always use minimal processing and carefully selected raw ingredients of the highest quality. We offer Bone Broth that is organic or biodynamic, grass-fed, sugar-free, and low in fat.

What is the difference between organic and biodynamic bone broth?
Organic: Production without pesticides, artificial fertilizers, and unnecessary additives. Organic farming focuses on the environment, animal welfare, and biodiversity, working to create a more natural balance in cultivation.
Biodynamic: A regenerative agriculture that builds upon organic principles. The farm is seen as a complete ecosystem where soil, plants, animals, and humans interact. Crop rotation, compost preparations, and nature's rhythms – often in sync with solar and lunar cycles – are used to restore soil fertility and create raw ingredients with high vitality and nutritional value.
The taste is carefully balanced between vegetables, herbs, salt, and umami. The salt content of our Bone Broth is the lowest on the Danish market. We have a close collaboration with Mikkel Hesselager from "Spis Min Gris" to supply our organic beef marrow bones. For our biodynamic bone broth, we receive marrow bones from "Hedeagergaard," which consists of free-range and grass-fed cattle.
Spis Min Gris is the only major supplier of farm-slaughtered, organic, Danish meat. They value meat quality as highly as animal welfare and ethics (link). At Spis Min Gris, they specialize in finding the best organic Danish farms that share our approach and values regarding animal welfare and organic meat production.
Hedeagergaard is one of the only suppliers of the highest quality biodynamic meat, which you can read more about here (link).

Why do we make the best Bone Broth you can find?
Our Bone Broth products are made for everyone who, like me (Thomas, Co-founder), finds themselves in a situation where they have to boil liters of Bone Broth every week at home in the kitchen to add this nutrient-rich liquid to their diet.
This was once a great inconvenience for my family, as there was always a huge pot simmering on the stove for several days. Our apartment had an unfortunate smell of boiled bones, and I myself was very frustrated that my Bone Broth sometimes gelled and sometimes didn't.
Furthermore, I didn't know how much collagen and hyaluronic acid was in the product and therefore how much I should drink per day. Not to mention sourcing the best raw ingredients for my stock, so I avoided heavy metals, pesticides, and antibiotics. Although taste was secondary to me, it was also difficult to consistently achieve a palatable product. It's quite important that you drink something you like if it's a product you use several times a week.
I bought my first marrow bones back in 2017, and ever since then, we have boiled thousands of liters of bone broth to achieve the optimal taste and content. The image below shows our upgrade from 35-liter pressure cookers to a 600-liter pressure cooker, which makes the process easier for us, the product cheaper for you, and saves resources.

In addition to the product's content, it is equally important to us that we can produce the product sustainably and ethically, with regard for biodiversity and raw material waste. The mission to create a Danish and grass-fed product became a reality after our collaboration with Mikkel Hesselager and dedicated Danish farmers.
There are farms in Denmark that produce sustainable meat and marrow bones. These farms do not contribute negatively to carbon dioxide emissions in the same way as conventional agriculture, and we want to support this positive development.
Our Bone Broth is thus a product that is largely true to our vision of helping you on your hero's journey towards thriving, so you can give back as much as possible to those who matter to you.

What is the problem with the existing Bone Broth industry?
You have probably also encountered this challenge: no existing product on the market can meet your high standards. The problem with conventional bone broth production is twofold. Firstly, the integrity of hyaluronic acid is lost due to high heat over a long period in the typical manufacturing process.
Secondly, these broths often sit on shelves for long periods, which negatively affects both taste and content. This realization strengthened my determination to create a bone broth that preserves important nutrients and delivers a fresh and rich taste.
An innovative and sustainable product
The biodynamic and organic Bone Broth liquid is made from free-range Nordic and grass-fed cattle from sustainable agriculture. The cooking process has been specially developed in collaboration with the Danish Technological Institute to control factors such as temperature, cooking time, pressure, flow rate, raw material concentration, and simultaneously preserve molecules such as collagen and hyaluronic acid.
The Danish Innovation Fund under the INNObooster program funded the project for approximately two years. You can read more about the product's development and the good results here in collaboration with the Danish Technological Institute.

The specially optimized manufacturing process ensures a high content of protein, collagen, and essential amino acids in an easily absorbable form, while preserving hyaluronic acid, which is typically destroyed by excessive heat.
The bones in both our Bone Broth (liquid) and our Bone Broth Powder are pressure cooked for approx. 4–5 hours.
The most important thing is not actually the "cooking time" itself, but the method: We use pressure cooking, which allows for efficient extraction in a shorter time. This also means that we can avoid unnecessarily long heat exposure and thus better preserve hyaluronic acid and collagen, which can otherwise be damaged by very prolonged heat.
When making bone broth at home, you often end up with 16+ hours, because you typically don't use pressure and also don't break down the bones in the same way we do.
And as an extra reassurance: The short pressure cooking we use also does not create the same conditions for histamine development as long home cooking – this is supported by our histamine tests.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, making up over a third of all tissue. This protein is crucial for skin, hair, connective tissue, tendons, muscles, and more. Our product is easily digestible and well-tolerated by everyone. Through our manufacturing process, we achieve a molecular weight for collagen peptides of around 8 kDa (kilodaltons).
This can offer advantages compared to smaller collagen peptides in terms of reduced degradation and thus longer exposure in the gastrointestinal system. However, the collagen peptides will likely be broken down to a molecular weight that allows for both efficient absorption and exposure.

Compared to plant-based protein powders, the product has high amounts of certain amino acids, including glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine. Functional Future Bone Broth is certified as GMO-free and has been third-party GMP tested and certified for the absence of heavy metals.
The product is by definition an upcycled product, as our company has unique knowledge of how to utilize a valuable bone matrix raw material that would otherwise go to waste. This makes our sidestream production of Bone Broth Collagen a product with a unique environmental and sustainable profile.
The product is primarily produced with electricity from Nordic biogas plants. Our products contain no added preservatives or additives.
Hyaluronic acid is key to getting the most out of your collagen:
Hyaluronic acid, also known as "nature's best lubricant," is a disaccharide with a chemical composition that makes it easy for water molecules to bind. It acts as a moisturizer, meaning it helps bind water to the body's cells.
Usage and allergens:
Enjoy warmed or as an addition to hot and cold dishes. One serving (≈ 130 mL) provides 7.4 g of collagen from 9.75 g of protein per day. 3rd party GMP tested for heavy metals and allergens. A natural thin layer of fat and sediment may occur. The thickness of the liquid may vary.
Bone Broth is a drinking stock that can be heated as is (feel free to add desired salt and a little lemon juice) or used as a flavor and nutrition supplement for, e.g., stews or a vegetable/meat sauce.
Everyone can use our Bone Broth, but it is suitable for a lifestyle where you prioritize a clean, premium, and Nordic-produced collagen and hyaluronic acid supplement. Not suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Free from gluten, lactose, soy, GMOs, heavy metals, pesticides, antibiotics, growth hormones, preservatives, synthetic fragrances, colors, and flavors.
Storage and shelf life:
Store refrigerated (2-8 degrees) upon receipt. Unopened, the shelf life upon delivery is 9 - 12 months depending on the production date. Shelf life of 4 days after opening. For the sake of our environment, please recycle the container.
What is the difference between our Organic Bone Broth liquid and our Organic Bone Broth Collagen powder/capsules?
To produce our collagen powder we have simply taken neutral Bone Broth liquid and gently dried it into a Bone Broth powder. It is thus Bone Broth condensed into a convenient and taste-neutral powder.
However, a significant amount of hyaluronic acid is lost in the manufacturing process for powder, and you should therefore choose our liquid Bone Broth if a high concentration of hyaluronic acid is important to you. Our liquid Bone Broth has a taste of vegetables, herbs, and will also add more umami to dinner dishes, etc. - so this is also an argument for choosing the Bone Broth liquid.
Most people, however, combine the two products so that the collagen powder is taken daily, and supplemented with liquid Bone Broth a couple of times a week. Our Bone Broth Collagen powder in capsules provides you and your family with an easy way to take your collagen supplement.
We would recommend that you take our Bone Broth collagen powder if capsules are not important to you, as you get more collagen powder for your money. The literature supports daily portions of collagen between 2.5 – 10 g, depending on your needs – so both capsules and pure powder are good alternatives to each other.
Our biodynamic and organic Bone Broth is a unique liquid, created from soup bones from free-range, grass-fed cattle, raised using sustainable and regenerative methods.
The Bone Broth liquid is gently prepared to preserve natural components such as collagen and hyaluronic acid – nutrients essential for the body.
Bone Broth liquid is a perfect solution for those who want to avoid the hassle of cooking large batches of stock at home.
For many, it can be difficult to ensure that homemade Bone Broth has both the right gelling ability and the optimal content of nutrients. Our product therefore ensures consistent and balanced quality every time.

In our specially developed process, we work closely with the Danish Technological Institute to preserve nutrients as effectively as possible. By controlling temperature, time, and pressure, we ensure a Bone Broth with high protein content and essential amino acids such as glycine and proline.
Our approach is part of our larger mission to create innovative foods that combine sustainability and well-being.
Bone Broth can be enjoyed as a warm drink or used to add nutrition and flavor to various dishes. With its rich taste of vegetables and herbs, it provides a natural source of umami.

We go beyond functional nutrition by supporting a circular economy. Our production is an example of upcycling, where valuable raw materials such as bone matrix are optimally utilized, reducing waste and protecting the environment. This makes our Bone Broth a product that not only tastes good but also contributes to a more sustainable future.
