Bone broth isn't just for slow-cooked winter dishes. It can be a reliable companion on busy weekdays when you want something warm, nutritious, and pure in your glass or pot. And no, it doesn't require new habits or complicated recipes. A small amount can elevate flavor, add body, and contribute natural collagen and minerals to everything from breakfast to dinner.
At Functional Future, we work with organic and biodynamic ingredients, local processes, and 3rd party testing for purity and safety. This means you can use bone broth as if it were homemade, without additives and fructose. Here are concrete ideas and tips for using it every day, without having to change your favorite dishes.
Why bone broth makes sense in everyday life
Good bone broth is full of flavor, natural gelatin, and amino acids from bones and connective tissue. It becomes gelatinous in the refrigerator because collagen from the bones is dissolved in the liquid. This is precisely what distinguishes it from classic broth, which is often more watery and salty.
For many, it's about getting more nutrition without making it complicated. A glass of warm broth takes two minutes to heat, and it can simply replace water in many dishes. You get a rich, umami-like base, and you can season with salt yourself.
Another plus is that the quality is tangible. Choose products that are organic or biodynamic, made from Nordic, grass-fed cattle, without additives, and tested for unwanted substances. That's our approach at Functional Future.

How to use our bone broth
1. The morning cup that warms from within
A warm cup of bone broth early in the day is simple and wonderfully filling. Think of it as a “broth latte.”
Here’s how to do it:
- Heat approx. 130 ml in a small saucepan to just below boiling point.
- Season with a little sea salt, freshly ground pepper, and a squeeze of lemon.
- For a creamy version, you can froth a little coconut milk or use a teaspoon of ghee.
Tip: Add grated ginger on cold mornings. It provides warmth and freshness.
2. Scrambled Eggs
A spoonful of collagen powder in scrambled eggs makes them extra rich in protein.
Recipe for 2 people:
- Sauté a small handful of spring onions and spinach in 1 tbsp ghee.
- Whisk 4 eggs with a little salt. Pour into the pan, stir gently over low heat until just set.
- Add 10 grams of collagen powder and stir.
- Serve with herbs and possibly some crumbled fat.
Voila! Scrambled eggs with extra protein and collagen, same great taste.
What does the research say?
Collagen and gelatin from bone broth contribute amino acids such as glycine and proline, which are part of connective tissue. Clinical studies with collagen peptides indicate reduced joint pain in individuals with knee osteoarthritis with daily use over several months. There is also data suggesting a positive effect on bone density in postmenopausal women with long-term intake of specific collagen peptides.
In the gastrointestinal area, many find broth to be gentle. Gelatin and certain amino acids are associated with support for the intestinal lining, and warm broth can feel soothing for an upset stomach. Micronutrients such as magnesium, iron, and selenium, plus electrolytes, are relevant for the immune system. A cup of warm broth during the cold season can therefore be a practical way to get fluids and nutrients.
NOTE: Bone Broth is not medicine, and we cannot promise or guarantee any form of healing.

3. Noodles, ramen, or pho on weekdays
A bowl of steaming noodles is not far away when you have bone broth in the fridge.
Quick ramen:
- Heat broth with soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Cook noodles separately.
- Place noodles in a bowl, pour broth over.
- Top with spring onions, mushrooms, pickled ginger, and a halved egg.
4. Risotto, porridge, and grains that taste richer
Cook grains in bone broth instead of water. It's an easy switch that makes a big difference.
Easy risotto:
- Sauté onions in olive oil.
- Stir in arborio rice and gradually add hot broth.
- When the rice is al dente, stir in a little parmesan and lemon zest.

You decide entirely when you want to drink bone broth. We believe that the body absorbs nutrients better on an empty stomach, as there is nothing else in the body. Therefore, we say that bone broth on an empty stomach is best. One serving is 130mL.
Our Bone Broth keeps for 4 days from the date it is shipped from the warehouse. We recommend that it is refrigerated within 24 hours of delivery.
It can easily be frozen. We recommend freezing it in your own containers, as the glass may risk breaking.
Our bone broth contains 5.7 grams of collagen per 100mL.
In our manufacturing process, we achieve a molecular weight for the collagen peptides of around 8 kDa (kilodaltons).
